Pediatric Flatfoot Specific orthotics are made with an extra wide arch, deep heel cups, medial heel skives and inverted casts to provide maximum control of excessive pronation. The pediatric flatfoot orthotics do not have top covers. The rearfoot is posted with extra high density EVA.
For control of severe over pronation, these orthotics have deep heel cups and high medial and lateral flanges. No top cover. Heel posts optional.
In order to promote out-toeing, the orthotic shell extends past the 4th and 5th metatarsal heads. The theory is that the child will rotate their lower extremities and abduct their feet in order to propel forward.
